Moving Your Loved One’s Ashes
There are no requirements when importing human ashes into Australia but note that human remains are still controlled by the Biosecurity Act 2015. The act states the container holding the ashes must be free of contaminants. It’s also important to prepare necessary documentation, such as your loved one’s death or cremation certificate.
